Hi- I am just joining here. I am needing to connect with others who are ttc babies but have male partners with infertility.
This is our situation. I am getting a bit scared right now. I have always thought I would chose very wisely who would be the father of my child. Now, because my man is infertile, I am combining genetics possibly, with a stranger.
So- we have tried 2 cycles to ttc with frozen sperm bank donor and no bfp yet.
But then I was just reading on another forum about a woman who had a baby with anonymous sperm bank sperm and the baby had many genetic problems. So this leads me to reconsider. We had asked a few people to be KD's and they said no- I mean, actually just one- dh-s husband, oh and I also emialed an old friend who never replied.
But whatever. But since I am 36 recently and still ttc #1 I freake dout a bit and we said- well, let's do anonymous so we can get on with it and start our family. But now I am way reconsidering what to do. Maybe I son't need to panic- but instead try to find a known donor for next cycle.

First of Welcome, and its a hard decision to make and it looks like you are doing your research well. However, it was my understanding, and I could be wrong that sperm banks do run a lot of testing on donors... maybe the genetic problems came from the mother or a combo of both mother and father together..

Is there a way to do some type of genetic counsling with the donor so you can know for sure? Please feel free to join us on the main board..
