I'm horrible at reading these things when people type them out --- but usually right next to your results - there should be what they consider normal...
Morphology and motility percentages vary by clinic but it's usually..
morphology - at least 15% normal forms
motility - anything over 40% is considered normal
The concentrated count is a little low (they like it to be 20 million per ml) -- but the total count which is over 49 million is perfectly fine.
I'd suggest starting him on a vitamin regimen (I always liked GNC's Performance and Vitality vitamin packs) -- and having him tested again in 3 months (since that's how long it takes for new sperm to form).
And if you are very concerned about the count and if you've been trying for a while with no success, I'd make him an appt with the urologist so that they can rule out physical causes and can also recommend any other tests. Good Luck!
thanks for your replies girls. We've been TTC for a year without success, so these were the first tests we've had. I need to go and speak to the doctor myself to try and find out what we do next
I hope nobody minds me posting. My DH and I had/have MFI and I posted our Success Story in the Miracle Sticky. We had 2% morphology. I was just lurking and saw a few of you with low morphology questions so I thought I'd chime in.
