I just wanted to share that we had/have MFI and we are a success story if anyone out there is looking to read something to give you hope.

I don't remember all the numbers but I know DH's count was low but his volume usually made up for that. However his morphology was really low at 2%. Our RE totally skipped clomid with BD and we went right to IUIs. We did a total of 7 IUI's with either clomid or injectibles. We then moved onto IVF and it was recommended that we do ICSI. Our first IVF was negative but our frozen cycle that followed resulted in our boy / girl twins!!!

Here is the real AMAZING stuff....exactly one year after our twins were born we conceived Riley totally on our own without the help of any fertility meds or IUI's!!!

thanks for sharing, we kinda feel like we're stepping into the unknown, but we have to keep remebering although the SA has revealed problems, they ARE viable sperm there, and it's only gonna take one of them to reach their goal for successful conception. And we we still have many options with regards to IVF treatments

I wanted to update this because I am now 15 weeks PG with baby #4 and my 2nd conception all on our own!

I also wanted to quote my very first post on an IF board way back in 2005. I remember that time and feeling like there was no hope, I would have never dreamed that I would be where I am today.

Me QUOTED from a msg board back in Jan 2005:
"Hi, I am on CD#11. This is my 1st time ever on a chat board, but my 2nd attempt at IUI with 50 mg of clomid. I am 29 and dh is 31. dh morphology is not the best but i seem to responding pretty well to the clomid. i'm down in the dumps because the last time i went in for the iui the nurse told me that dh had small acrosomes and he was a 1% morphology. This nurse said that this is the head of the sperm and that it is critical for penatrating and fertilizing the egg. She also said she has seen one man with a 0% be able to fertilize but they haven't gotten pg yet. I figure this means we won't have sucess with IUI and we just have to go through the motions until the doc realizes that we need ivf. I'm drawing my own conclusions and I know that's wrong but this nurse really killed all my hopes of having IUI work for us.
Tonite dh gives me the hg shot...ouch! and then IUI is set for 1/21 at 11am. I'm praying that the nurse will tell me his sample has improved since last time. Anyone else have male factor issues?"
