I'm sorry the results didn't come out what you wanted to hear. have you talked to your doctor about this? IVF/ICSI have pretty great success rates.

The only thing I'm thinking of (and don't quote me because this is totally only a thought) - is that low to non-existent morphology might cause higher m/c rates since the sperm aren't formed correctly... but with ICSI they pick out the very best sperm, so I think you'd be OK.

I agree with what April said. ICSI would probably be the best bet since they would use the best swimmers and give you the best chance at a bean Good luck, and KUP!!

We had basically the same results. I talked to our RE last week and he said first that 0% doesn't usually mean he actually has NO good sperm. My DH's sample had a handful of good ones that they could pick out to use for ICSI. He also said that even if they are 100% abnormal, this shouldn't be a problem because ICSI bypasses the problems that morphology usually causes (that the sperm can't fertilize the egg naturally). He said that the chance that the DNA in the sperm itself is bad isn't necessarily higher just because they have poor morphology. Hope this helps!

Just lurking** Hope you don't mind

My DH has poor morphology (LESS than 1%) and we have conceived with the help of Clomid alone Unfortunately, they were non viable conjoined (which is not caused by Clomid OR poor morph!) and we lost them at 16 weeks gestation.

We have since done IVF with ICSI and got 4 beautiful blastocysts My fresh ivf transfer was but we are hopeful that my FET next month will be successful with our two remaining blasts

I'm hoping that the IVF works for you! GOOD LUCK!

Jessie, we seem to be in the same boat. My Dh has a really low sperm count with poor morphology. We have recently seen our specialist and we will be heading down the IVF with ICSI route - once more testing has been done (Im having an HSG next cycle and Dh has to do 2 more SA).

I wish you lots of luck!

I wish you ladies the best of luck. If they had found spermies when they did my DH's biopsy we were looking at the same route.

We had the same thing. SA showed 0% normal morphology x3 samples and our fertility center recommended IUI first... good thing bc we conceived with the first round of IUI... I am now 27 weeks preg with a perfect baby boy! GL!

i can only really add what has been said already, but we are looking at having IVF with ICSI. As only one sperm is needed to ferlitize, as the others have said, they will pick the very best formed ones. And as they inject the sperm directly into the egg, morphology is less of an issue because the shape of the sperm no longer matters as it's no longer having to penetrate the egg by itself, which is where the shape and form comes into play.
