I am newly remarried and had no trouble conceiving my three sons (8,10,12) with my ex. It took two years for DH to conceive his one daughter with his ex (no intervention). We decided to TTC one more and it turns out that he has low motility. I don't know the actual numbers. I am so disappointed because I am 34 (he is 40) and I know that time is running out...it's not like when I was 22 and I just thought, "whatever...I've got all the time in the world!" So here's the deal with this cycle....I had AF on June 13. O'd on about the 24th. I should have gotten my period yesterday, today, or tomorrow (I'm usually 26-28 days) I've never missed a period for anything other than pregnancy. I took a test this morning and it was a BFN but it was a small amt of urine about an hour and a half after my FMU. I bought another test on my way home from work to use with FMU tomorrow. My breasts are sore and I want sweet foods, and I had a headache this morning (which makes me think AF is coming). But on the other hand, I'm not crabby (which I almost ALWAYS am two days before my period), I was tired today at work which is a little unusual for me, I've been feeling twinges in my pelvis all day long today and now as I'm sitting here with my laptop on my lap I can feel my heart beating in my pelvic area. I'm so confused. I want to be pregnant SO badly, I want to do this one more time in my life, but I also don't want to get my hopes up only to be dashed tomorrow morning when I get another BFN. I'm thinking if the box says 99% accurate by day of missed period that if I get a BFN tomorrow then it probably really is a BFN, right? I'm not even sure why I'm thinking I am pregnant with this news about dh's motility....I'm thinking it probably won't happen....but then again I'm hopeful.....but not.....I don't know. Like I said, confused!

Hello & ! I completely know what you mean about feeling like time is running out, as I to am a older mama here. I'm Becky (35), DH is Tony (35). We started our TTC journey back in Dec 07, and found out earlier this year that my DH is completely infertile. After taking a few months off, we're back to TTC and will be doing IUI using donor sperm. Unfortunately, with my DH having no swimmers I don't know much about motility. I'm hoping some of the other ladies here can offer better advice & feedback. So, I'll just keep my crossables crossed that you get that BFP this morning and don't need to worry about it!!!

If you don't have that BFP, perhaps you could consider charting? I find that charting has helped me tremendously figuring out my cycles when/if I O, when to know to expect AF, when to test for pg, etc.

Good luck & I look forward to getting to know you!!!

I'm Tasjaana (25), and DH is Aaron (31). I wish I knew more about motility so I could be more useful, but our issues tend to swing more towards the morphology end of things.
I agree with Becky, that in the future charting may make things a little easier for you to keep track of- but here's hoping you don't need to bother!!! Good luck.
