Popping in to hopefully answer your question. My husband also had surgery, multiple surgeries actually, to repair hypospadia. He has been to the urologist who did a physical exam which found a varicocele (like a varicose vein in the testicles, where too much blood is in testicle & excess heat = lower sperm) Now, of course the urologist couldn't say whether the varicocele was caused from hypospadia surgery, but he said that varicoceles are very common. Since the hypospadia involves repositioning the urethra to come out at the tip of the penis, normally scar tissue can result. The only way you and your DH will be able to tell if there are any resulting issues, or if he has any unrelated issues, is by having a through exam by a urologist, along with a semen analysis. Hope this helps! Good luck!
