I have been mia for awhile. I didn't realize there were so many new updates. I was suppose to be well on my way into my 1st IVF cycle but that is no longer happening. I was ready to start my stims on saturday but Monday evening I was told that my insurance was not going to cover any of the IVF when previously I was told twice that is was going to cover 7350. After many phone calls to insurance and my RE I find out that they are not going to pay anything. I don't know where to go from here. I have PCOS so I don't ovulate every month and DH has a low sperm count. I don't even know what are chances would be to conceive naturally. All of my infertility insurance coverage is now gone so the only option we have right now is to try naturally but I don't know how much good it will be. I am very upset and I can't even touch the money we had for the IVF cost because I feel like that was my baby. I don't know what to do now.

I am SOO sorry to hear this. I was really hoping to hear that you were in the middle of IVF. I am soo sorry hunny. You must feel like its the end of the road....but you must not give up. If you believe in miracles, like 99.9% of us do here, you must believe that miracles happen. Keep trying naturally and have DH take lots of vitamins ( I just posted a list of vitamins that are SUPER good for sperm count) ...Keep your chin up. Things will be okay.

All I can say is that I'm so sorry! You already know miracles can happen, but that's not much of a consolation. I see from your siggy that you've already done some IUI. Maybe that's a route you could still do, with Clomid and IUI (since that's much cheaper than IVF)? How bad is your DH's sperm count? If it's so bad that IUI wouldn't work, then maybe eventually you guys could consider IUI with donor sperm - that's what we're doing, and it's much cheaper than IVF (since IUI wasn't even an option with my DH's count). But of course that's not a route everyone wants to go. But I guess all I can say is that there's still hope, and there are still options out there, but it's a tough place to be in and I'm sorry you have to go through this.

I'm so sorry. That's really crappy of your insurance to do that! Isn't NJ mandated to cover IVF?

Thank you all for your support. Each day I am starting to feel better some days are better than others. I know that IVF was not a guarantee that I was going to get pregnant so I am trying to remember that. I am going to look into trying more IUI's I read that for someone with PCOS it could take 3-4 cycles before it even works. I just have to get dh's sperm count up. The last SA we did which was in November was his highest sperm count. As for donor sperm we haven't really gotten that far to talk about it. We talked a little bit about adoption but not a lot.
