Ok ladies so I had my HSG today. Let me start by saying that it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be! But I can also say...OUCH! Ok so I started my antibiotic yesterday and had no problems. Today I took my antibiotic again around lunchtime and right after that I started feeling really sick. I don't know if it was my nerves or the antibiotic but I thought I was going to throw up! Ugh! Anyway, so I left work at 1:00 and went home to change and meet DH. I started feeling better once I got home So my mind was totally not on the procedure I was about to have because there was traffic and somehow, even though we left early, we ran out of time (we were supposed to be there at 1:50) and got there after 2:00...oops

SOOO fast forward about 15 minutes. I go into the room and the nurse tells me to undress from the waist down and cover with a wrap and then sit and wait. After about 7-8 minutes or so the doctor comes in with the nurse and another male resident. She explained what they were going to do and told me when it would be uncomfortable but she would talk me through it. So I put my legs up in the stirrups and scooted my butt down to the end of the table (which had a huge bowl type thing under my butt? weird). She then puts in the speculum (she said "sorry it's a big one!") and then cleans my cervix. Then she sprays some numbing stuff in there which burned a little bit. Then she tells me to take a big breath and cough when she says three and she puts in the catheder (little pinch). Then she takes the speculum out and says "ok this is where it gets uncomfortable" and boy she wasn't kidding! She starts to inject the dye and HOLY CRAP, it hurt quite a bit! I just had to breathe through it and it was over in about 30 seconds. I had a little more cramping on the way home in the car but that's it! It was not even that bad but I'm so glad it's over.

Results: FANTASTIC! She showed me the scans and said everything looks great. She said the tubes fill up nicely and spill out perfectly. No blockages! Nada! Whew, what a relief

Keri my next step is to wait to ovulate....I have a "follow up" appointment in 3 weeks so if I haven't ovulated by then I'm going to ask the doctor to put me on provera again to induce AF. Then I get to start Clomid!
