Well I got home from work and said the Fertility Dr office called and said his sperm count was a lot lower that the first time that I need to call and make an appointment to get into there office. I'm not sure what to think of this or what they can do does anyone know or have any experience with this? not very happy about it at the moment.

Wendy, I'm so sorry for the bad news! DH had a few counts that were pretty good, and then it just free-falled, and we really upset. However, there is always hope. Never give up hope! IVF with ICSI is our miracle, and I know you guys will find yours. Do you remember what his numbers were?

I'm so sorry! It's hard to know what that means, since you don't know how low the numbers were, let alone what's causing it. Sometimes it's just borderline and not that bad. Sometimes there's a clear cause for it that can be easily corrected. So right now I think you just need to hang in there and get as much info as you can. Good luck!!

Oh Wendy...I'm SOO sorry to hear that. Let us know what the doc says when you talk to him. Ask for the exact numbers. Also- when talking to your doctor, ask about putting DH on Clomid. I've heard it works. Good luck Wendy and keep your chin up okay!?

Thanks Keri I guess I have never heard of Men being put on Clomid. I'll have to remember to write these questions down so I don't forget to ask.

Yep - do a lot of googling before your next appointment! There are a whole host of things that can cause a guy to have a low sperm count, so you want to make sure that your doctor looks for each and every one. I hope there will be an "easy fix" too! But just in case there's not... we're all still here with ya!

How'd the appt go Wendy? My DH had lower results on his 2nd test as well Our OB said to call after 2 cycles of Clomid if we weren't pg, which will be this cycle. So, not sure what he'll recommend after this, we have our referral in progress for the the fertility clinic to try IUI first but in the 6 months it will take to get there, not sure what we'll do!
