was really "useless". The doc just didn't seem to care about anything, in our opinion.

He did a quick physical exam on Dh's "area" and nothing is out of the norm- so that part is really good and about the only good thing from the appt.

He ordered another SA for him to do, and he said if this one comes back low, thats where it gets expensive. It's funny, he ONLY mentioned expensive and money AFTER he found out what Dh's profession is and probably assumed "oh they make good money". Also, Im not sure what or why he said that since my RE's office already told us if the 2nd one comes back low or whatever, that they will do the IUI for us for $300- that includes everything. To me, thats not expensive... unless hes wanting us to go thru their office, which I wont. Whatever.

Anyways, what doesn't make sense is he is having him do the SA thru ANOTHER fertility clinic- not mine, and thats kinda weird to me. I know my RE does the SAs since he went thru mine before, so Im called up my RE's office to see if I can get it done thru them again, why we are getting 3 different total places involved I have NO clue.

SOunds like the guy is trying to get make money on you guys It makes sense to me to keep it all in one clinic, that way everyone knows what's going on. IUI next month?? Wow! My IUIs were $300ish too, and I thought that was a good price also. Good luck! I am sorry the doc was useless. Stick to who you're comfortable with for sure.

YEa...I really dont like the sound of that guy. He sounds like hes looking for dollar signs rather then helping you get pregnant. Watch out for doctors like that. I would stick with your orignal RE and have your DH do the SA there...AND if need be, do you IUI there too since he already quoted you a great price. By the way, that price is excellent!! Mine was about 400-500 so I'd take 300 anyday!!
