Well I called the Dr office today and asked all my questions with the nurse who deals with the IVF's she was a very nice and imformative lady. I have 2 appointments set up already which is a good thing one is to do a couple of test. The other one is to talk with the nurse about the IVF and also talk to a councilour about the whole process of doing an IVF using egg donor. That part is ok but I also talked to the lady in charge of billing and I found out that for any testing my insurance will cover that but it will not cover the IVF procedure. I think it might cover my meds we are not sure I have to call the insurance for that. But They explained the cost to me and all together with everything it's about $18,000 and I would need a $2,000 deposit to get started.

Ok so they don't do any payment plans or any fiancing due to the place they did use went out of business last week and they haven't found a new one. I'm not sure how we would come up with the money that is what is making me feel alittle down due to the nurse said she has 2 possiably 3 donors that would fit us right away. We could get started with the stuff next week on Thursday with my first visit doing test for the IVF.

Does anyone have any suggestions? My husband has a few books he just bought that offer grants and stuff and he thought he seen something in there for a grant or free money to try and have a baby I guess I have to look threw it.

Thanks again for all of your support you ladies are great!

Hey Wendy~
I'm so sorry you're such a difficult start to all this. I know how frustrating it is trying to come up with money spur of the moment. My biggest tip would be to check out grants and loans to help with the IVF. Someone on here awhile back was also checking out grants for IVF- not sure where they got with that but I will try to find out who it was on message her about your issues.
I wish the two of you the best luck and I hope you find a solution soon so you two can have your miracle baby!!!

Wendy, I am sorry you are having to go through this. The cost of fertility treatments is almost as stressful as the infertility itself.

I found this online:
$10,000 Fertile Dreams Scholarships on
IVF Grants.

KUP on the process. We are starting IVF next month, so maybe we can be cycle buddies.

I don't have any advice because I'm in Canada but just wanted to say I hope everything works out for you! Definitely not an easy situation to be dealing with!

Christylovesherbaby Thanks for the info I saved it so I can look at it better later. Yes that would be cool if we could be cycle buddies. I'm still not sure how it's all going to happen.

Tammy thanks for your support!
