Hello ladies..
I used to be active on this board..then it was quiet for so long i moved over to ttcma. Now that i see a bunch of new faces i thought i would tell you a little about me..and ask yall a question..

Last year Dh was diagnosed with severe mfi. (0%morphology) we tried clomid (to make up for him) iui and ivf..none of which (obviously) worked.We have been ttc for about 3 years in august.

So given that info..have any of you gotten a bfp without medical intervention? we didnt have any frozen embabies after our ivf failed..so we dont have the money to try again till next year..so what kinds of things if you got a bfp..did you have dh do for mfi? TIA!

Hey!! I remember you! Although, I was hoping you were back to announce your BFP!
Well, DH and I are finally expecting! We are 7 weeks pregnant and got pregnant ON OUR OWN!!
I was on Clomid to help my ovulation but as for DH, he did not do anything 'medical' to improve his counts. Our RE recommended him to stop ALL alcohol consumption and to start taking multivitamins with zinc every day. So he did and Walaa!!
See, we learned that sperm re-produces itself every 70 or so days, meaning what he does today will take affect in 70-ish days. For example- DH stopped all alcohol and started taking vitamins mid January. We conceived 70-ish days later on March 28. I don't know what his sperm count was exactly, (we didn't do another SA) but I assume it improved! ALSO- I used instead cups...which holds the sperm in a 'puddle' on the entrance of the cervix.

yeah, I would say try the instead cups, also DH's urologist told him not to carry his cell phone in his pants pocket. I guess it can kill the spermies. Is your DH on vitamins? Keri posted a link awhile back with a vitamin regimen that's good for MFI, maybe she can post that again? Just remember any changes you make take about 3 months, so whatever you do make sure DH sticks with it for at least 3 months. I hope you get your BFP naturally and don't have to even worry about IVF #2!

Well thank you both!! Congrats on your BFP Keri!!! Ya we have been talking and he says hes going to quit dipping!! woo hoo!! Hes been on vit c and e and zinc for a while though!! So hopefully in 3 months ill be announcing my bfp!!( i wish i was announcing it today too..lol!)

Adamsgirl- thanks! i sure hope you dont have to do ivf #2 either!! hopefully we will get our bfps naturally!!

I think im gonna try the instead cups too!! Thank you both..now im off to look at the list!! Thanks again!!
