Hi I have been gone from the forum for a while on a TTC break. came back and see all new people. so I thought I should re introduce myself.
My name is Lisa im 40 yrs old. my DH is Kerry 35 yrs old. were TTC our first together , but im blessed to have 4 girls from my previous marriage. we surprisingly conceived on our own the first month we were together. but I sadly lost the baby at 5 weeks. of course I wanted to get right back to TTC certainly if we made it happen naturally once we could do it again right?. well after TTC for a while and getting frustrated it was not happening again. we had some tests done all the tests on me came out good. thyroid was good. 21day progesterone test was good. HSG showed open tubes.
then I send DH for a SA and it came back very low. volume only 1 ml. count only 16 million, 30 % were healthy they said that was a good number. but only 8 % were progressively moving. they gave me 0 hope of getting pregnant naturally again.
just before the SA we found out both him and I had a infection we had it treated of course but im wondering if it still affected his count. on the day of the SA.
ever sence then we have tried many supplements to increase his count. I dont know how they have really worked cause I cant get DH to go back in for another SA. but I have not gotten pregnant so here we are still TTC, I have days where im so depressed and I really need some TTC buddies. its hard trying to think positive and stay hopeful when we have TTC for 18 months.
I wanted to go the donor route thinking well that would be the fastest way to get our BFP. but my DH is totally against it. but there is some hope he recently got a good job that is offering health insurance and it looks like they may cover some infertility treatment.

I hope to make some new friends here.

Hi! welcome back to the board!

I'm Aimee (26) and DH is Adam (26). We've been ttc #1 since Oct. 2008 and found out in Aug. 2009 that DH has 0 spermies. We have since tried IVF where they found 5 spermies inside DH and are currently waiting to see if Clomid will change anything with DH's production.

I really hope and pray your DH's sperm count does increase. I had my DH on HCG its also suppost to get get sperm production going. we are looking into getting IUI done but my DH needs another SA first cause its hard to plan any treatment when we dont know that were dealing with.
if the SA is not better then last years then we will look into IVF.

It's so stressful TTC. We're waiting for IVF next year, but i'm keeping my fingers crossed we'll get a miracle before then.

Hi *KittyCat I remember you from before. I did manage to find something that greatly increases the chance of conceiving at home with a low sperm count. its call the zavos home conception kit, and its basically ICI at home. I can give the link if anyone is interested. we have tried it a few times and it dident work for us yet.

Hi Lisa!! My name is Keri and DH is Mike. We TTC for 14 months with a 7 million count and finally got our BFP ON OUR OWN!!! We tried multiple artificial inseminations and meds and go figure we conceive on our own.
Anyways, You mentioned that you've tried supplements- are you meaning vitamins? Make sure he is on lots of Zinc!
Also- have you tried Instead Cups? Softcup Fertility Aid by Instead I used them, basically the first time, and got my BFP the same cycle!! Its worth a shot and waaaay cheap! $7 bucks!! Can't beat it!
Good luck and keep us posted!

Yes we got pregnant on our own once ,and I believe it was the instead cups that helped. but I lost the baby at 5 weeks. sence then we have tried using the instead cups many times with no luck. we are trying them again this month though so maybe we will get it.

and my DH takes GNC mega man right now and Bee pollen and vitamin e. the GNC mega man has alot of zinc in it and I believe the Bee pollen has it in it too.

im taking Femara and royal jelly and bee pollen . im hopeful we get pregnant again soon. Congrats on your pregnancy !.
