Hey there! I was just reading the forum and thought I'd pop in and say hello. I spend most of my time on the TTC 1+years board. I am 27 and DH is 32. DH has MFI...here are his stats from the first SA:

S/A Results
Volume: 3.7 ml
Odor: Normal
Color: Whitish
Viscosity: Normal
Liquefaction: Upon Arrival
Agglutination: Present - slight
pH: 7.2
Round cells: <1 x 10/ml

Sperm Motility Data:
Number of Sperm Analyzed: 174
Concentration (Million/ml): 35 x 10/ml
Percent Motile: 26%
Motile Sperm/Ejac. (Million/Ejac.): 34 x 10
Progression (% Progressive): 1/2

Morphology Data
No. Of Sperm Analyzed: 200
Normal: 1%
Abnormal: 99%

Viability (% of Live Sperm): 55%

M.D. Comments: Moderate asthenozoospermia, severe teratozoospermia. Suggest repeat analysis in six weeks if no prior consistent evaluation. If prior consistent results, couple may benefit from a trial of washed intrauterine insemination, ideally in conjunction with superovulation inductions, or ICSI in vitro fertilizaion.

I never got the results from the second one as they told me there was no change worth mentioning. We've had 3 failed IUI's and just last week I had a laparoscopy to determine everything is well with me. It was...two small spots of endo were removed. I've had DH on fertilaid for the last...month to month and a half and we are hoping it helps with our 4th and final IUI in August. Anyhow...Just wanted to introduce myself...hello!

Hi! Welcome to the board! I'm Aimee and DH is Adam, we are ttc#1 using donor sperm has DH has a 0 sperm count. I can't really say much about your DH's numbers, but as far as the supplements go it takes at least 3 months for them to have an effect on a S/A. The sperm that come out of your DH today were actually created 3 months ago, that's why there's the 3 month delay for seeing results from supplements. I hope you stick around here, this is a really supportive board!!

Hello!!!

Those counts don't look suuuper bad but they could be higher. And you're taking the right action by putting DH on some fertilaid. I heard that works!
And as Adamsgirl explained-- what hubby does TODAY, will take effect in 3 months. So this 'stuff' definitely takes patients.
My hubby had quit drinking beer AND started taking vitamins in Mid Jan and we got pregnant in Mid March...so 3 months later it worked for us.

In the meantime- in between IUIs....try "Instead Cups"--- we used those once and got pregnant the cycle we used those as well....

GOOD LUCK and keep us posted!!

Hi and ! I'm fairly new to this board as well b/c we just found out about DH's low sperm count about a month ago. My DH's counts were in the 1-3 million range with lowish motility, so we have a pretty severe case. He is having a varicocele repair in Sept. in hopes of bringing his counts back up. We do have an 18-month old son who we conceived naturally after 6 months of trying, so the urologist thinks DH's counts were higher at that point. I also have DH on a bazillion supplements.

Keep us posted! This board can use all the action it can get . You definitely aren't alone!

Hi Nikki,
I didn't know about DH sperm issues till I saw your post. Sorry to hear that, but at the same time knowledge is power, right? I hope that the fertilaid helps with this month's IUI!! DH counts are not that bad and now that everything is clear with you, you guys have the best shot ever!! I'm soooo hoping for y'all!!
