Does your insurance cover your infertility 'stuff'? ...like all the SA, IUIs, meds, and other tests?

Well we have military insurance..they are helpful..but dont cover everything. They cove diagnostic and stuff like that..they covered my reproductive surgery but b/c it was an abnormality. They covered some meds like clomid and a few other things for my ivf. But they wont cover iui or ivf

Our insurance doesn't cover anything!!!! Thankfully, the doctors have been putting the ultrasounds in a special way so they are covered

Insurances can sure be a pain in the butt!! Luckily some of you have coverage for this stuff, as for Sarah- I hope your doctor continues to his 'tricks' to help you two out.

With our infertility stuff- i was NOT covered with my GYN....had to pay out of pocket for our IUIs which were about $150 each (yes, my gyn did them) , as well as the meds but they weren't more then $10 bucks a month but everything was covered 100% if we saw an actual RE. Now, with my pregnancy stuff- I'm now 100% covered with my OB-GYN (same doc as my GYN) So I get everything I need with out seeing the bills

Wow only $150 for IUI?! I wish ours was that cheap! LOL We pay $305 for each one, plus $100 for the trigger shot So it's about 400 bucks a pop for us! Ugh My clomid is about $40 every cycle and the progesterone is $20.

I can't wait to be pregnant because we just have to pay a $250 fee up front and then everything is covered!

Ya our iui was about 400 unmonitored! So ya its expensive! However for ivf we got a huge discount for military! It turned out with meds we paid $8,000!

My insurance covered everything. Even for our IVF we only owed like $400 for the actual IVF, meds were seperate, but still covered the same as other prescriptions. I have/had awesome insurance, however being reduced to part time it is waaaay too expensive to kick in the 50% the district won't pay, so I switched to DH's. DH's insurance has an infertility limit that was actually just reduced to 25k. Nothing for DH has really gone under insurance though, except for his visits to the urologist. We have yet to find out how the pregnancy is covered, I don't officially start on his insurance until Sept.

What type of insurance take care of infertitity problems.
I called Blue Cross & Blue Sheild and they told me they son't cover infertitily.
What insurances covers it?

We have Blue Cross Blue Shield and they cover everything but IUI and IVF. It must depend on what plan you have.

Our insurance doesn't pay for a thing! We can't afford to do IVF. Our RE puts in all meds in as a ovulation disorder so they pay for that for all our IUIs.

I have Anthem(blue cross) and I dont have any infertility coverage
