Spent the night in the hospital again for this severe pain i've been having in the side of my tummy and my back. They discovered I have kidney stones!! YIKES! Never had those in my life! Baby Remi looks great though. He already weighs 2lbs!! My placenta moved up so I am no longer at risk for placenta previa!! YAY!
Have any of you ever had kidney stones?
*UPDATE* (x-posted)
So- if you recall, I was in the ER again Friday night due to SEVERE...and I mean SEEEEVERE right flank pain that radiated to my crotch. Anyways, after spending about 6 hours in there, they discovered (what they told me at the time) a calcium deposit in my right kidney that was likely to be kidney stones.
ANYWAYS- the pain is getting worse and more frequent so I called my doctor this morning to follow up as instructed on Friday. The nurse practitioner called back this afternoon and said I needed to come in tomorrow. She said the 'deposit' is NOT kidney stones....in fact its a rare and 'hopefully' benign tumor inside my kidney about 4cm by 4cm called "Angiomyolipoma" She said she's never seen it before and my doctor is not familiar with it either therefore will be sending me to a specialist to seek further opinions/treatments.
I'm FREAKING OUT!!! A TUMOR????? I see the doctor tomorrow afternoon and I'm REALLLLLLLY hoping this will all turn out to be a mistake. I've been doing a lot of research on it and is usually non-cancerous but has been know to be cancer. Due to the extreme pain its causing me, I'll most likely have it removed right away. And apparently its a slow growing tumor so I have had this for awhile now BUT the pregnancy hormones make it grow more rapidly.
Please say some good prayers for me, my hubby and my unborn baby. This pregnancy has turned into one rough road....
I'll update as soon as I can.
**UPDATE- Tuesday Night**
Doctor appt went lots better then I expected. I gained 5 lbs in 2 weeks---ahhH~! But that only means I'm up 7lbs this entire pregnancy~ So i'm happy with that~~

He mentioned this so-called tumor I have. He said its a "fatty tumor"-non cancerous-that most likely has been there for awhile but is slow growing so he wasn't worried about it. It was basically found 'accidentally' seeing how this type of tumor is asymptomatic' (no symptoms- so its not what is causing the pain) We will monitor it every 6 months or so and if it decides to grow, we will remove it at a later date. But he wasn't concerned about it.
The doctor also confirmed that I
DO have kidney stones in my right kidney. As for the kidney stones- if they haven't passed yet- they probably wont. We will have to wait 'till after I give birth to take the medicine to help break the stones up (the meds are too harsh on the baby).
The pain I'm having in my side of my ribs and back is due from both kidney stones AND my endometriosis~ go figure...endo always has a role in everything. UGh! He said that since I have a severe case of Endo and that its been 2 years since my last lapo- he's guessing the scar tissue is in my entire abdomen and upper torso--hence hurting when the baby kicks or stretches next to the scar tissue. It so happens to be on the same side that baby likes to lay on so we're guessing the little stinker is cuddling up next to it all.
He prescribed me some percocet to take when the pain gets to be too bad. He's predicting the pain will continue the entire pregnancy. He explained that "Endo STOPS during pregnancy-- but it does not go away"...the scar tissue thats already in there does not disappear when you get pregnant, it just stops forming. So having this severe pain when pregnant is common with Endo patients.
SO-- I WILL SURVIVE!!! (I've been singing that ever since I got home ) I'm am SOOO blessed and happy AND relieved that its nothing serious. I'll tell you what-- that was the scariest doctor apt I've had! I'm so glad its all over and I am very anxoius to getting back to a 'semi' normal pregnancy

Thank you for ALLLLLL our thoughts and prayers. You ladies help me in so many ways...Thank you ALL!
