Ok, I have talked to my doctor about Clomid since I have PCOS. But she asked me if DH has had any testing and thought it would be smarter to go that route first to rule out any male infertility. The thing is, he has no insurance. And it would have to be done at the hospital. So would it be smarter to try one of those at-home fertility tests first? And if so, which one would be best?

I would do the test at the hospital. The at-home tests just measure the sperm concentration (how many there are) but doesn't tell you if they are moving well or if they have a healthy shape. I think the semen analysis costs around $100 if you don't have insurance. Hope this helps!

My dh just had one done and insurance would not cover it. We had the choice of going ot the hospital or to a lab. We choose the lab bc it was only $62.00! The hospital was $325

I don't know anything about cost, but I would def get it done at a hospital or lab if financially possible. As already mentioned, the home tests won't tell you everything, so you might think everything is ok when other numbers might be low.
