I just posted a little while ago about my success story. I am sorry to say that I just miscarried. It has seriously been the saddest week ever. I was supposed to be 10 weeks on Thurs but started spotting the Sunday before and had an ultrasound Monday that showed the baby had died at 6 1/2 weeks. My DH just had his varicocle repair in March so I am hoping that his SA will be better by this summer and we can conceive again. It's just so dissapointing because it took us 14 months to get this BFP. I am also terrified that I will miscarry again, although I hope that DH's surgery worked and his sperm quality will be better and maybe give us a better outcome. Ahhhhh! I know you guys understand how hard this stuff is. I was just wondering if anyone has heard if low morphology was linked to a higher miscarriage rate. I couldn't find a good answer online.

. I can absolutely relate to this. I also got pregnant 3 months after my DH's varicocele repair after 14 months of TTC and had a m/c. My loss was very early, only a week after my BFP but still very difficult to go through. That was in January and we have not had luck again yet but my DH's SA has improved alot so we are trying to stay hopeful.

Miscarriage is heartbreaking in and of itself...miscarriage after infertility is absolutely devastating. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

:hugs: I understand we have been ttc for 2 years with low counts got pregnant twice and m/c first one at 5 weeks and last one at 4 weeks. I was very depressed and cryed for over a month after our first m/c. last one was easier to deal with though because I had a feeling I would lose it when I found out.
we dont have low morphology. our m/c were most likely due to a thin lining.

Thank you so much for your kind replies, being in a situation like this feels so isolating and it is so nice knowing that there are others out there who understand, although I wish that no one would ever have to experience this.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I hope you get a sticky BFP really soon. I will say though that sperm morph or speed does not play a part in miscarriage, I have asked this to several RE's, they said that no matter what shape the sperm or how its moving, inside its genetically the same as a normal shape, normal moving sperm...plus a poor morphology sperm cannot penetrate an egg, a perfectly normal shaped sperm can only penetrate the egg. I was told that the only thing that could cause miscarriage due to the man is if he carries chromosomal abnormalties in his sperm, which is completely separate from his shape and speed of sperm, sometimes chromosomal abnormalities can be the cause of the poor morphology though, but poor morphology itself cannot cause miscarriage.

Once again, I am so sorry, I can't imagine how hard it is to be trying for so long and experience a loss, I so worry about this with myself if it ever happened, I don't know how I'd handle it
