Hello, I ddidn't realize there were sub categories within the TTC board. I should've been here at first...
I'm new here, my husband (41) & I (37) were married in Dec, '09 and have been....well not preventing...I have 3 children of my own (one I gave up for adoption and 2 live with their dad, my ex). My current hubby has no children and I would really really like to give him some.

We don't have insurance so can't go to all the fancy fertility clinics and specialists, but we did recently have sperm analysis done on him. We couldn't get it read by the professional cuz he charged $2,000 to READ IT!!!! That's, um, nuts! We had them send the results to my ob/gyn, who can't really read them accurately but did say his sperm morphology was a 4%...I don't know what the other numbers are yet....I'm in the process of having the results sent to me (takes forever).

We're gonna try next month (I've already ovulated this month and we tried a couple times just the normal ways) for me to take gaufenisin as I heard it helps the sperm swim faster in me with a better chance of them penetrating my eggs.

That's where we're at, can anyone relate?

Do you know if it was a strict kruger analysis ? because if it was then 4% is not that bad.

Well 4% isnt the greatest..but its not terrible! And there is still hope for naturally concieving! How long have you been trying? My DH was told he had 0% and that ivf would be our only option..ivf didnt end up working for us..but we did get pregnant naturally! We were told that wouldnt happen either..so there is hope! I take it you have talked to your OB..did he/she give you clomid? Thats usually the only thing they do before sending you to a specialist..The specialist is really the only one who will be able to give a diganosis..sometimes they will give free consultation..so maybe call and price it at different clinics!
