We have a board for Attachment Parenting but we don't have any other "parenting style" boards. I am not quite sure what it should be called but what do you gals think about adding some other type of parenting boards. Need suggestions for names and need to know if there is an interest.

I think it's a great idea. You could call it "Traditional Parenting" maybe, since the attachment parenting style is fairly new.

I think it is a good idea too, but I don't like "traditional parenting" as wearing your baby (slings or what have you) is not new but an old way to care for your child, as is sleeping in a family bed, cloth diapering, breastfeeding etc.

I think it's a great idea! I do think calling it traditional parenting might be confusing. I think I fall into the traditional parenting category, but I do breastfeed and I don't really think I fall completely in the cry it out category either. I think maybe Ferber Style Parenting or something else. Not sure have to think on this. Even cry it out parenting would work for me.

Sounds good to me. I don't know about the title "Traditional Parenting" cause that could mean anything. I just saw an article saying that Richard Ferber is changing his beliefs in letting babies cry it out. Personally I believe in it too and would look forward to posting on that board (when the time comes).

What other things to parents who let their children cry it out do in parenting? Could the board name be Cry it out and BLANK Parenting? Just and idea!

I think its a great idea. I do like traditional parenting, but can see where that could be misunderstood. Maybe de-tachment parenting?
