For some reason, I started yesterday with constantly getting an error message saying a Trojan horse program was accessing my computer. I took screen shots:

In 5 minutes, literally, I had this many things quarantined.

Every topic I click, forum I visit, reply I make...anything I do on JM (and only JM) I get these pop ups and a quarantined file.

Also, when I reply or start a new topic, the stylizing options are gone:

No way to bold, underline, etc. Is this a problem with all of JM, or just me?

I also can't hit the "+Quote" button to reply to a bunch of people at once.

Is it my computer or JM? I've swept the computer for viruses, deleted my cookies and shut down twice. No fix. HELP!!!

I'm not having an issue, but I'm using Firefox. Do you have Firefox? Can you see if you're getting the same issue with Firefox? I'll see if Patty or Teresa have any ideas.

I hadn't thought of that. I just switched to Firefox and no issues. I guess it's just in IE then.

Edit: All the previous issues are gone in Firefox.

I'm still in FF and no problems, but when I went to IE to get my links to boards so I wouldn't have to search, I started getting this message.

Thought I'd share that too.

I'm thinking your Virus program is thinking an ad is a virus. I've asked Patty or Teresa to take a look.

Thanks for your help. I hope that's the deal, although it's SUPER annoying and just started happening.

I think you could have a trojan on your computer. If you are seeing a lot of pop ups that may be why. I would do a virus scan. Here is a good place to get a free virus scan. I use kapersky for my antivirus and think it is the best. You can use the free virus scan and unlike a lot of the free ones that just tell you that you have a virus, this one will actually remove any viruses you have. I don't think you can use it for free indefinitely but I would do the free scan and see if there is something on your computer.

I found this on a google search.

A quick check of Trend's support forums indicate that this is a false positive in the Trend application. Their suggestion is to update the definition files to the latest update. If this does not solve the warning message then the next step would be to contact Trend for additional support.[/b]

Thanks for the help. I ran the free scan last night and there were no viruses or anything, so that was fine. I didn't have the time to figure out the whole Trend problem, so I was going to fix it today. I logged on this morning and all the problems are gone in IE, so I guess it resolved itself.

Thanks again.

Trend Micro has had some trouble with some of the new viruses out there. It's best to update it every time it wants to. I haven't had any of this, but I always update immediately. Silly virus makers just want to make the simplest things difficult!
