Over the last 24 hours my computer has blocked around 40 hacking attempts on my computer. I cant remember the exact message norton gave me but it goes something along the lines of:

HACKING ALERT:
norton has blocked an attempt to attack your computer

Is this just a conicidence (sp?) or could someone have gotten my IP and computer address when Jm was hacked

We really can't know for sure if the hackers were attempting to hack into your computer, it is possible that is what was going on. We are working with law enforcement on this right now to track down and arrest the hackers that were involved with the recent incident at JM. At this point, you are not at risk posting on JM but it is really good that you have a great antivirus program to alert you.

Just wanted to post in here that a message board that I run, that happens to have the same password that I had on JM was hacked today. They changed my admin password and posted all sorts of filth and porn all over my boards. They registered a total of 9 or 10 people. I was able to regain control very quickly, but I wanted to post here.

Also, Patty, I have the IP addresses of the people if you want me to forward them to you.

Thanks Patty, I think its really great what you are all doing to keep JM free from the hackers and safe for us to use. I have had no further threats to my computer, well Norton hasnt picked any up. Thanks again x
