When I try to post a topic with the title "QOTD:" it always shows up as "Qotd:" I've seen others do it with all caps. Why can't I?

I've had that happen too, I think it's something in the software that tries to prevent you typing in all caps if your caps lock is on accidentally.

I am not sure if there is a way to turn this off, but what I have done in the past is to go back and edit it, put caps in the title and then they (usually) stay!

mine don't stay... They always go back to Qotd, no matter how I do it.

I think if you put stuff after the "QOTD" that isn't in all caps, it will leave your QOTD as capitalized. It is just a filter for the forum that prevents posts from being typed in all caps.

It's been doing this to me too but it doesn't do it every single time. I'll have to pay more attention to what I'm doing when it happens then I can try to figure out why.

As long as you have at least one thing not in caps, it will keep whatever caps you wrote. If your post is ALL caps, it will only leave the first letter capitalized.
