When I have JM open everything is slow on my computer, I first noticed it when I had Photoshop open so I thought that was the problem, but after going to a few other websites and running a virus scan realized it is only JM. When DH looked at the CPU usage while JM is up it's using 100% of the CPU. He is an IT guy and doesn't know why it would be doing that so I thought I would post here and see if someone might know. He thinks it something to do with the coding of the site. It's everything on JM, the main homepage and forums. It does it with Firefox 3.5.3 and IE 7 and I'm running XP in case that helps any.

I am having the exact same problem. I can not have any other windows open when i am on JM as the pages take forever to load, yet they are fine if i close the window with JM. I hope somebody can answer this as its really starting to annoy me and i hate not being able to multi-task Oh and its the same with the newest version of firefox and I.E7. I am using vista.

The only add on I have running is the JM one that one of the other hosts posted a while back. I've noticed this for a couple of days. Also, sometimes the page won't load and I have to refresh it 4 or 5 times so that I can even read the post. I haven't had this problem anywhere but on JM.

Could you disable your add-ons and see how much physical memory you use?

I've played around with them and with all add ons disabled it's still using 99% with 2 JM tabs open. With only this thread open it's jumping between 70% - 80%.

Did you happen to notice what ad is playing? And how much physical memory does your machine have?

My machine has 2 GB of memory and I've clicked around the board watching the CPU usage and what ads are playing and the only ad's I've seen are a Green Giant ad at the top and at the side it's been a Cafemom/Party City ad or a Chevrolet ad and the Cpu usage is the same.

I have no add-ons. I notice today though that it seems to be running a little better, although it does hang a little when loading the page. Only the banner along the top loads, the rest of the page takes a bit longer, better than before but still evry annoying.
Do you think you know what the problem could be?

and today i see no ads
