These Rock Now, or whatever they're called signatures with the slideshows are freezing my computer up. I have a brand new computer so I know it isn't an issue of my computer being old/slow. It takes longer for the pages to upload(I have DSL) and once i get to a post where there is one it freezes the computer up for 5-10second which isn't long but is annoying and is making me not want to come here.

You could disable siggies so that you don't see them. It'll make the pages load faster. To do that go to:

My Controls
Board Settings
then tell it not to display other signatures
