The top of her page is loading, but the rest isn't, she can get on some boards but not General Spirituality... she says she is usuing firefox. Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this!

Rachel it's ads.

Misty suggested I try and ad block add-on on Firefox and it worked right away.

I suspected it was ads because I can always get on UK Mummies but when this happens I can never get on General Spirituality, Single Mommies or the main forum, and I guess its just something to do with certain slow-loading ads either not being compatible with some browsers and/or with wireless internet connections like mine.

Tbh I wish you wouldn't use ads of that nature because it seems ridiculous that members can't get on just because certain ads are on a certain page. I never had these problems before the big board changeover. Sorry if I sound annoyed but, well, I am annoyed. I never have issues with any other website. I love JM and I love my board and I hope that's the end of THIS problem for me, but I just think these things ought to get sorted out.

I've lost a whole day when I had jobs to do on here and I go away for four days tomorrow....when you have a busy life this is maddening.

I know you all work hard Rachel and I'm not doing that down, I'm really not, but there must be things that can be done about technical issues such as this, given that other websites with all manner of ads and graphics work absolutely fine on my pc even when I have a weak connection. Members need to be listened to more on this stuff and not given the usual "clear your cookies and cache" line which by the way has NEVER worked for me when having issues, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I know you guys have a difficult job and we do appreciate all that you do. Please don't take this the wrong way. I'm just mightily annoyed right now.

I thought about Ad block late last night. I'm glad Misty suggested it.

And honestly, you are the only member that I am aware of that has issues like this. I have not had any complaints from anyone else about not being able to load the pages like you describe.

At any rate, I'm glad the ad block add on is working for you right now.
