Hi! I'm pretty new here. I came from another forum where I posted on a board for Moms Without Moms. Are there any other moms here whose moms have passed away that feel they might benefit from a board like that? I know it really, really helped me when I was going through the new loss.

i second this board! i lost my mom in 2002, would love to talk to other moms in the same situation i am, and help others goin thru a loss of a parent.

i agree....my mom is terminal with lung cancer and does not have much longer (a couple of months maybe). it would be really nice to have someone to talk to during this really rough time.

Yes, definitely! A "loss of a parent" board. I have another friend who just lost her dad to cancer and would benefit from it as well. It's been 4 years since I lost my mom, so I am coping well with it, but I think I could probably help others who are just now going through it, or who know they are about to go through it.

That's a great idea! I lost my mom to a massive heart attack three days before I had my son in November 2005. I would love to see this board up and running as I think it'd really help all of us and so many more people! A Parental Loss board-that way we don't leave anyone out!
I would be very interested in being a cohost for this board. It's important for me to share and listen to others in order grieve the loss of my mother. I think it's a fantastic idea for a board. There are so many motherless mothers and fatherless mothers out there. It affects every aspect of a persons life.
