Out of all the forums, there are about five that I really like to keep up with. I understand how to colapse entire sections, but is there a way to only have certain forums show on the forum page?

You can subsribe to your favorite forums and then add the Forum Subscription Page to your bookmarked pages. Then when you open that page you'll be able to see which of your favorite forums have new messages.

Hey, that works! I just did that with a few of the forums that I go to, all the time!

If you do that though, aren't you stuck with all the emails announcing new posts and threads in your email inbox? Just wondering before I actually do it.

Nope, you can choose the no e-mail option.
