Answer:

Click on User Cp on the top left of the page.
Click on edit options.
Scroll down to the second box-Messaging & Notification.
Under Default Topic Subscription Mode there is a drop down box with the following options:
Do not subscribe
No email notification
Instant email notification
Daily email notifiacation
Weekly email notification.
just choose your preferred choice.
