Why am I getting a message that my post has to be approved by a moderator? (Post in July 2012 DDC ....this one posted fine)

If you have under 100 posts and post a link or pictures, you are automatically put into moderation. It's a spam filter on the forums. We try to approve posts quickly but if you're ever waiting around for a post to be approved, feel free to send a PM to a moderator and we'll get it put through for you. Hopefully, you won't have to deal with this for too much longer. I know it's a bit of an inconvenience but we've had so many issues with spammers that the filter is necessary.

I think the key words in your post may have triggered it. You mentioned progesterone in your post. Our spam filter looks for certain medication type key words (medications like viagra, for example) triggers the filter. So I think the mention of progesterone or other medical key words may have triggered it.

I hope someone sees this - I can't PM at all, and the option to enable it is not in my CP. I tried to post something yesterday that contained a word (same as the one hope71012 used) that caught in the spam filter. Can my post be approved please? Can anyone help me with the PMs as well? I'm trying to get a foothold here and I'm just running up against one obstacle after another.

Amy, I apologize if there was a delay yesterday in approving posts - we try to stay on top of them every hour or two, but sometimes it can take a little while longer. The queue is currently clear, and all posts should be approved.
As far as PMs go, I believe you need either 10 posts before you are able to use the PM feature.
I'm sorry for the hassle you are running into! If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.

That helps to know, thank you! I was hoping that would be in the FAQ though - I'm all for making sure people are genuine before you let them have unbridled access to the forum, but I was searching the best I could and found no answers to this. I will try to make sure none of my next 4 posts include any spammy words, and then it should all be good! I was just surprised to run into another mod queue after my first post had been approved.
Thanks for the quick response!

Yeah, sometimes the queue will pop up for you - I believe it's 100 posts before you are totally free of it, though it does seem to "remember" people sometimes, so you shouldn't run into it as often at least.

I tried posting in the recipe thread in the September DDC and it wouldn't let me? I was only talking about making tuna! XD
