I'm aware that there is a preemie board, but I think that JM would benefit from a NICU board. Not all babies who go to the NICU are preemies, and some, like mine, are there for extensive periods of time. I think it has the capability where new NICU moms can come and ask questions and get advice from seasoned NICU moms. It'll also be a place to discuss all the medical jargon that only NICU parents learn to speak.
I think it's a great idea! I went through the whole NICU thing 3 years ago and know how important it is to have support from people who know what you're going through.
I think it is a great idea!! My 3rd baby was NOT a preemie (she was actually overdue) and was in the NICU for a couple of weeks....VERY scary....Great idea.
Oh, I'm excited about this! My son was in NICU for ten days after he was born and he wasnt a preemie either. He was actually 2 days over his EDD. I'm going there now. Thanks!!
I agree that having the NICU board would really help because I know several people that have had babies that have stayed in NICU for extended periods of times.
