I'm not even sure if this is possible... the "mark all posts as read" at the bottom of the index page ... can that be added to each board? I go to so many boards that I don't remember which topics I've replied to and which I haven't. I don't want to mark everything as read, because I might miss something, but then I also don't want pointless threads mucking up the waters... KWIM? I try to get through as many topics as possible in a short time so that I don't miss replying a 2nd or 3rd time to something important.

Click on Options (top right on each board). There's an option there to mark all posts read and return to the board, or to makr them all read and return to the main forum page.
