Ive noticed that there is a variety of boards on JM but theres one that is not that is for women who have had or thinking of having a Hysterectomy.Im one of those women who had to have one 8 weeks ago and would like to know if there is any other women out there also looking for a support group.

WOW! That's a great idea! I'd like to see a board that discussed menopause, pre-mp symptoms, hysterectomies, etc. A lot of women go into early menopause for a variety of reasons. I'm "supposed" to do so in about 8 years... we'll see.  I'm only 30, so it's tough to think about.  Sorry you had yours done... was it an emergency because of birth?

Im only 33yrs and i had to have a hysterectomy due to complications from my c-section but unfortunatly for me i had to wait until my little girl was 3mnths old until it was done so for the first 3mnths of my daughters life i spent a lot of the time in hospital until i was able to cope having it done.Im also starting to have the affects of early menopause even know i still have my ovaries so i truely hope that women out there get behind this new board as i feel it will help so many women out there.

I was very lucky i have my little girl to keep me going but i will say you do feel like your going crazy at times.

great idea, samlee. my best friend is 23, and had a full hysterectomy, 6 days (we were almost in the hospital together-- i always wonder if she would've still been allowed to be with me for the birth, during her recovery, one day later, had it happened like it should-- she was supposed to do it a week earlier, but had to cancel, last minute) after Missy was born. I really need to get her on JM, hehe.
As far as I know, I'm nowhere near this point in my life, but I am always thrilled when someone comes up with a really good idea for a badly-needed forum.  great one. ideas are endless-- isn't it amazing? you would think after two years, jm would be complete, but it expands regularly...

Great idea! My mom had one at the age of 22 or 23. I am 27 and I am TTC because my OB/GYN thinks it's a good idea. I am trying to hold him off as long as I can for it since it isn't an emergency, just because of having PCOS & endo.

Hey I think that kind of board would be GREAT! I'm 26 and my dr just told me I need one! This kind of board would be of GREAT benefit to me and others out there as well!
