i think there should be a board for women in relationships or family with a drug addict.

maybe as a subforum in kick the habit.

Actually we used to have a forum for this. It was a private forum and there were problems with members taking private issues and discussing it with other members. I wouldn't mind seeing this type of board again but do have some concerns over privacy issues.

If there were a board like this... I would post in it. It could just be protected, right? I think its a pretty good idea to have a place where we could vent about this type of family problem without everyone on JM knowing about it... Anyway, that is just my 0.02. Whatever Patty decides is probably what would be best for JM, because I can certainly understand the privacy issue!

I would so totally post in this. My dad is an alcoholic and drug user and it has destroyed my family. It is still affecting my family, though I am an adult.

I suggested either a separate forum or or a subforum for this when someone suggested there be a board for moms in recovery. Of course both boards should be protected, whether it is separate or together.

Basically for privacy issues whoever is discussing this stuff outside of the board should be punished, not the board itself.

Patty I would be more than willing to help out with this board!

i really like the idea of an addicts board. we had an alcoholism scare recently that would have been really nice to have had somewhere to post about it in for support
