I suggested a "Ask a Health Professional" board before, but it was decide that it was too much of a liability---which I totally agree with, I hadn't thought of that.

But what about this--

Can there be a board for Health Professionals? Not to give advice, but for us to mingle among ourselves and talk about our jobs, etc. I'm a nursing student, and I would love to talk to others about what I can expect.
Like the "Public Safety Mommies" board?

Terrific idea. Because there are sooo many health professionals in JM who can talk about their jobs. But it has to be understood because of privacy laws when discussing patient care, you cannot give specific information. When my DH tells me about his patients, he tells me "I had a 86 year old patient with chest pain." He does not tell me names or anything else specific.

^Most likely everyone in the healthcare field is aware of that anyways--I worked in a nursing home for 3 years while I was in high school, and I'm a certified 'activity coordinator' for long term care facilities----they really ingrain that in your head.

good ol' HIPPA. DH can't discuss any of that either, he works in a mental health/psyche hospital.
