Chain mail pms: RE gobble, snowball fights, etc

A lot of people like to send forwarded emails with chain mail. We are seeing this in the pm system now. I know that this is a lot of fun for some members but not everybody likes to receive forwarded messages or chain mail. I know that I have been bombarded with these today. I hate to be the party pooper but I receive a lot of pms and I can not have my inbox tied up with chain messages. Please be considerate of other members and do not abuse the pm system with chain mail.

So, maybe those that don't want to play could add something in their signatures saying that they don't want to play?

I know I did that when the "Boo!" was going around - worked out nicely.

Well I am not totally against it but I don't think I should have to put something in my siggy saying don't send me junk or spam. I woke up to eight or ten pms in my box and I already get a ton of pms. I don't think it is a really big deal but maybe leave the admin and mods out of the list. We will just see how this goes and not worry about it unless it becomes a problem. Sound reasonable?

that sounds good. i thought it was pretty cute, and was wondering what in the heck being "boo'd" and "gobbled" was, until i got up yesterday morning to a couple gobbles.

So does this mean we cant play anymore? I havent been gobbled yet, and Ive been waiting, LOL. But I understand not wanting a ton of �unnecessary� pms.

I think it will be okay. If it gets out of hand we can deal with that then. (But please don't send admin and mods pms unless they say it is okay with them. It can tie up our inbox from other important messages)
