Do your Lo's nap?
When and where?
For those that bedshare do you have a problem getting them to nap with out you?
How long do you let LO cry in crib before you give up on naptime?
I bedshare and up to this point Ethan sleeps on me for naps. Sometimes I can shift him to the couch and get up but lately he wakes up and he rolls more so I want to put him in the crib to nap. If I wait tell he is asleep on him then try and move to crib it doesn't work either. HELP

Do your Lo's nap? yes
When and where? she takes one long nap (about 3 hours) and then little naps throughout the day. Typically, she naps in the swing.
For those that bedshare do you have a problem getting them to nap with out you? I used to but for a while now, she's fine in the swing.
How long do you let LO cry in crib before you give up on naptime? she's only napped in her crib a couple of times (this weekend) and I had to rock her to sleep then put her in the crib. I'll let her whine but once she starts crying, I pick her up. I know everyone is different and does what is right for them but, I can't just leave her in her crib to cry. IMO, she's too little for that. But, when she's tired and I put her in the swing, I will let her cry for a few minutes. The swing is in the living room and I'm right there. I just can't leave her in her room alone and crying.

Do your Lo's nap? Yep.
When and where? once in the morning and afternoon (long naps) and a short one in the evening before bed
For those that bedshare do you have a problem getting them to nap with out you? We don't bedshare.
How long do you let LO cry in crib before you give up on naptime? We just started crying it out and we don't let her cry for more than 10 minutes but 90% of the time she goes to sleep within 5.

Do your Lo's nap? Yes, she takes a 2 hour morning nap around 9am-11am, a 2-3 hour afternoon nap 1pm-4pm, and a 1-2 hour evening nap 6:30pm-8:30pm...then she wakes to eat and she goes back to sleep for the rest of the night.
When and where? She either naps in her swing or in her crib. She naps in her crib if it's too bright in the family room (where the swing is--she's starting to like to sleep where it's dark). Otherwise, she naps in her crib for her morning nap and during the rest of the day she naps in her swing and sleeps in her crib at night.
For those that bedshare do you have a problem getting them to nap with out you? I don't bedshare.
How long do you let LO cry in crib before you give up on naptime? Ayla actually whines to be put down for naps and for bed at night. As soon as she starts her whiney cry, I swaddle her and put her in her crib or swing, and she happily falls to sleep. I've never had to let her CIO.

Do your Lo's nap? Yes, I make sure of it
When and where? We get one in the morning and one in the afternoon, and maybe a quick snooze in the evening before bedtime. Sometimes lots of cat naps in between.
For those that bedshare do you have a problem getting them to nap with out you? We don't really bedshare but Eli ends up in the bed by the early morning... I fall asleep while he nurses. If I wake up and he's still out I move him to the amby baby. Anyways, YES, I'm having a major problem getting him to nap without me. Sometimes he will (in the swing, in the car seat if we are out) but never in the crib.
How long do you let LO cry in crib before you give up on naptime? About 5 minutes. He fusses, and if it escalates to crying, then I pick him up. If I KNOW he is tired, and I know he NEEDS to nap, I'd rather have him nap easily with me rather than deal with a fuss-bucket for the rest of the day... if that makes sense.
Sigh. What we do sort of works some days, sort of doesn't work other days. I should be more vigilant about crib training but I'm usually too tired myself to sit there and let him fuss.

Do your Lo's nap? Yep.
When and where? Well, he's not consistent. Sometimes he'll take a morning and afternoon nap, and other times he'll only the afternoon. If we're at home, he'll nap in his bassinet or pass out in his bouncer chair. If we're at someone else's house, he usually just sleeps on their couch with a pillow under his head, and a blankie on top of him. If he's is with whoever is watching him for the day, then at my sisters and mom's he sleeps in one of their cribs, and at my SIL's in a pack n play.
How long do you let LO cry in crib before you give up on naptime? If its a random short cry, I leave him in there. If it is non-stop, even for a minute, I go in and get him.

Do your Lo's nap? Yes
When and where? Its very random, just whenever he's tired. He naps in our bed. He doesn't like napping in his bassinet for some reason.
For those that bedshare do you have a problem getting them to nap with out you? We bedshare only in the morning (that's the only way he goes back to sleep). But I haven't had a problem with him napping without me.
How long do you let LO cry in crib before you give up on naptime? I usually don't lay him down when he's still awake. He falls asleep in my arms most times then I lay him down. If he fights sleep for awhile, but I know he needs to sleep, then I'll lay him in his swing and let him fuss. But I'll pick him up when he starts crying.

Do your Lo's nap? yep! thank goodness!!!
When and where? usually one long-ish nap about 2 hours after he wakes up (so it varies because today he slept until 11am!!! amazing!! so he was back down napping around 1pm) then he will take another couple hour nap around 5pm & usually will cat nap after 5 a few times.
For those that bedshare do you have a problem getting them to nap with out you? It can sometimes be a challenge. Some days I can get him to fall asleep in his swing, or if I know it is close to nap time and time for a feeding I will go & lay in bed and feed him laying with him and he will usually fall asleep and I can walk away and let him sleep in our bed. Mostly I will let him fall asleep in my arms and then attempt to put him in our bed. He has never slept in his crib, I really need to start trying that, lol.
How long do you let LO cry in crib before you give up on naptime?
I never let Logan CIO, I will let him whine a little but once it gets to him crying I cave in and pick him up
maybe try letting him sleep in your bed when he naps since you guys bed share, that has helped as far as nap time for us.

she naps in her swing, bed in carseat
Like Ayla she typically whines to be put down when she gets sleepy.
She takes a long nap in the morning 3-4 hours. up about 2 hours sleeps. naps early afternoon for about 1-2 hours, up 2-3 hours Naps late afternoon about 2 hours. Up about 2-3 hours. Naps around 6 for about an hour. THen asleep for the night around 8.
No CIO, she will fuss for a few minutes sometimes, but never cry. Cry involves me going to her.
no bedshare excpept occassionally at night if we fall asleep nursing

Do your Lo's nap? Yes
When and where? Usually 3 a day, in our bed
For those that bedshare do you have a problem getting them to nap with out you? Mine falls asleep while staring at me (I lay next to her). When she is out, I get up. I daresay she would have an issue being left to fall asleep on her own, but we don't see any reason to make her at this point. Although if she's exhausted, we can usually plop her in the crib under the mobile.
How long do you let LO cry in crib before you give up on naptime? Not at all. If she is crying for more than about 1 minute than I know she wasn't really tired and it isn't really naptime.

Do your Lo's nap? yep
When and where? he wakes up about 10am then naps at 11am till 1 then naps again 2-4 , 5-6 then down to bed at 9-10pm. (he sleeps about 16-17hrs a day) He sleeps in a carrier/on me or in bed. We don't have a swing or a crib.
For those that bedshare do you have a problem getting them to nap with out you? I have never tried to have him nap without me. He always falls asleep on me or cuddle up to me. If I'm holding him or he is cuddled up to me in bed and he has been asleep for 15 min I move out of bed. If I'm wearing him I just keep wearing him...never tried taking him out to put him down.
How long do you let LO cry in crib before you give up on naptime? No crib LOL I have never let him cry or even be fussy without going to him in less then a min. If he is awake I'm holding him or doing something with him.
I probably sound like an over attentive mom/hovercraft mom but I do think it makes me more in tune with his cues so I can react faster to his needs (this helps alot with ECing). So I think the reason *HE* is able to sleep so well is the fact he knows I'm right there if he needs something and he now seems to know that I know what he wants so he sleeps better because of that connection. I don't see me doing this forever, but at this age it works best for us so far.

Do your Lo's nap? Yep several pretty unpredictable naps a day.
When and where? About every two hours he takes a 1-4 hour nap. He does this throughout the day most days. Some days he does more cat napping than longer naps though. Always either in my arms or on the bed on his tummy. He sleeps really well that way.
For those that bedshare do you have a problem getting them to nap with out you? No not really. If I get him good and asleep and then place him on his tummy alone on the bed he stays asleep as long as he needs to sleep. If he doesn't sleep any longer then that means he is done.
How long do you let LO cry in crib before you give up on naptime? Never.

Do your Lo's nap? Yes
When and where? 4 times a day, in his crib. He is awake 2 hours, sleeps an hour (somethimes 40-50 min) so up at 7am, sleeps at 9, 12, 2 and 5 then bed at 7.30pm
For those that bedshare do you have a problem getting them to nap with out you? we dont bedshare
How long do you let LO cry in crib before you give up on naptime? I let him fuss for as long as he likes, if he's actually crying i give it a few minute then go up to reassure him. Joseph doesn't respond well to CIO, his sisters did but he just gets himself worked up if we leave him to cry so i make sure i am there to reassure him if he starts to cry
