that Ayla has NO desire to roll over?? She is obsessed with sitting up and standing, but she HATES being on her belly! I honestly feel like she is going to start walking early...but never crawl!! lol Seriously... People comment all the time on how strong she is because if you sit her on your lap she immediately tries to straighten her legs to stand. As soon as she gets more coordinated with her hands I just know she is going to start pulling herself up on furniture... But, if I put her on her belly all hell breaks loose!! lol So, I feel like she's never going to roll over or crawl...should I be worried??

Some babies never crawl, they go straight to walking. It jsut depends. I don't even do tummy time with E anymore. Well, not on a consistent basis anyway. My son took forever to crawl, and wanted to roll everywhere. It was pretty funny to watch.

Mine doesn't want to roll either. He's content to just lay on his back and kick. He hates tummy time too. I'm sure they're both fine.

Adam isnt showing ANY interest in rolling... he loves to sit up and love to stand and jump..

I think its mostly b/c our house has ZERO carpet so there isnt a safe place for us to do a lot of tummy time so we really dont do it. I'm gonna get a cheap throw rug for our living room so I can do that more..

I wouldnt worry, she'll roll one of these days!

^^^ditto! Eden hates tummy time. She does roll onto her side but that is as far as she will get. She loves to stand though and someone at church told me that she will probably walk early because of it.

Kaisen hasn't rolled over either. He loves tummy time. Every once in awhile he'll roll over from front to back, and when he's on his back he'll roll to his side. But once he's on his side, he put his feet up, which makes it pretty difficult to get to his tummy. I'm not worried. He'll roll over and crawl when he's ready.

I wouldn't worry. My neice is now 14 months. She hated being on her stomach and did not roll for the longest time. She didn't crawl til like 8 months either. But, then all of a sudden she was walking and she didn't craw long. Now she runs around everywhere. Some babies skip crawling altogether.

Kelly rolls only when he wants something. Like if I lay him on the bed and am getting ready to feed him.. he'll roll over so he can get closer to me...its funny...I'll move him back and he'll start rolling again. But... he won't roll if he's just chilling on the floor or anything.

We are in your boat too! She's only rolled from her belly to back like 3 times and I think they were flukes...

Avery rolled the one time and thats it. She will roll to her sides but much more interested in grabbing her feet! Its fine!

oh and 8 months is not late for crawling. Most babies crawl between 7-9 months.

I could have wrote that exact thing. Patrick is the same way. He will scream bloody murder after only a few seconds on his belly. Roll him over on his back and he is fine. He is sooo trying to sit up and gets mad that he can't lol it's pretty funny to watch. But, I've been kinda wondering the same thing you are. Sounds like they are fine, though.

Jacob is the same way! I thought he was behind! He has shown absolutely no interest in rolling. He loves to sit up in his chair and lay on his back and kick kick kick but not a fan at all of tummy time..

Is anyone having any issues w/ a bit of flathead? Jacob isn't that bad but there is a spot on the back of his head that is like it has a dint in it and it's flat? He is always on his back though so I am not suprised that much lol!

we are not, but you can always trying rolling him on his side when he is sleeping to try to get him off his back a bit. I used to roll a recieving blanket up and put it behind Nichole's back to prop her a bit.

No desire to roll here either. She just prefers to be on her back and kick at everything.
