I was really looking forward to giving Patrick a bath in the tub for the first time. And since he's been sitting up pretty well lately, I decided to try out the inflatable duck tub that we got a few weeks ago. FAIL!
#1 -Apparently he forgets how to sit when he's in the water so I was constantly picking him back up.
#2 - Our tub is higher than most tubs I think, so my back HURTS!
I'm disappointed. I was really hoping this was going to be the solution to getting soaked from him splashing everything out of his infant tub. But, at this point, I would take getting soaked any day over the pain I'm in now.
At least he looked cute in it

OK, you two just talked me out of buying the duck tub! Maybe we will just try the big tub since she sits so well.

That second picture is sooooo sweet! The cute factor would definitely win me over! Maybe put less water in it and see if he does better that way?? Or maybe put some toys for him to play with so they distract him so that he sits better?
It won't be too long until he is sitting well enough to use it!

Aww...He's adorable!! Addi loves her valentine! Anyways, we have the ducky tub too and Addi always wants to turn around...no matter what direction we start her out. We love the tub for now, but I'm guessing we will only be able to use it maybe three mos. or so. It's definitely not as big as you might think.

What kind of baby tub were you using before? We just put our baby tub in the big tub, but I see what you mean about the height of your bathtub's sides - ours is lower than that.
Any way, what a handsome man you have there - ladykiller!

We had the precious planet whale tub, but he fills the whole thing and it's getting difficult to bathe everything that needs bathing lol! But sheesh, that ducky tub isn't much bigger!
Either way I go, duck tub or just him in the regular tub, it's gonna be a killer on my back!

My back would not let me bend over like that...I would be in pain for days.
The pictures are very cute though!!!
I will stick with showering with the kids. I did give JoJo a bath in the sink though last week...we have an extra big kitchen sink that is made for pots and pans...IT is really deap and wide...I just had her sit on a towel in there. My back just won't let me bend over the tub.

Brittney, try the sink maybe? put a cloth down so he doesn't slip. he might sit well for you in the sink since it's sort of confined.
sorry it didn't work well but He is soo cute!!!!

Ethan always gets baths in the big tub with one of us in it. That way it doesn't matter how much he splashes and our backs don't hurt but are relaxed. We enjoy it a lot!
I love the pics!

But (for us anyway, and I would think for anyone) the problem is that the tub is high and the baby is way down in there, so if you make yourself even higher on a stool, then you have even farther to bend.
We have a slightly sunken jacuzzi and I am not looking forward to moving into it.
