I love it and would use it (with traditional spelling 'Ciarán,' of course), had it not become a name associated with chavs here.
Chavs have ruined several names, unfortunately

I like this name! I have never met a Kieran (any spelling). I think it's a perfectly fine Irish name and I would like to see it used.

A particularly irksome brand of white trash here. The males usually gather in large groups, congregate on street corners, harass people, and are generally a boil on the bum of society.
