I'm only 4 weeks away from my due date, and my husband and I can't come up with a name.

I recently put a whole bunch of name sites on his computer for when he came home from work so that he can have a look at them. He looked at them and found a name he likes (I think, he uses it a lot).

These are the names that he's suggested

Roger Rice (after his father, I don't like it at all)
Dougie Rice (after a cousin or something, again I don't like it)
Ken Rice (after his grandfather, not horrible but not the best)
Ace Rice (the name he picked from the websites, it's not horrible much better than Roger, but not really clicking for me)

I thought that since he started liking the name Ace that he might like my first suggestion for a name months ago which is
Jace Rice (or Jayce)

I'm having a hard time trying to let him pick a name that we can both agree on. He keeps coming up with things he knows I don't like most likely on purpose too.

What do you guys think of the name Ace? Or any of the other names.
Thanks for your opinions.

Ace is a word or a nickname. Please don't name your child that. Jace is trendy, but this spelling is much better than Jayce- the Y doesn't change the pronounciation, so why put it there, other than to make the name trendier and harder to spell?

Dougie is okay as a nickname for Douglas. Douglas Rice sounds good.

I also like Douglas Rice. Douglas is a nice, strong Scottish name (and also my little brother's name... he's 10).

I don't like Ace/Jace/Jayce at all, sorry.

I like Jace/Jayce (however you choose to spell it).

I don't personally like any of the other ones.

I like Jace.

Ace isn't a name that I'd use. But a guy I graduated high school, who now plays in the NFL, has a son named Ace.

The thing is I'm not fond of many of the names myself. In fact names that I liked at the beginning don't mean anything to me anymore. I can't find one that I can click with. I'm running out of time and it's getting frustrating.
Thanks for your opinions.

What about Kendrick Rice? I think that has a great flow and incorporates his grandfathers name.

I like the name Jace/Jayce but I don't think Jace Rice flows well because of the double one syllable S sound.

Of your choices, I would pick Ken (Kenneth, Kendrick, Kent)

Other suggestions that kind of have the Ace/Jace sound:

Asher
Blake
Jake (Jacob)
Jack (Jackson)

Good luck!
