So in the "Maeve" thread Maeva was suggested and My hubbie are I are really liking it. We are looking for a name that's a little different but not so much so that it's out there. We want it to be feminine and pretty.
Maeva
Pronounced "May - va"
Some of the meanings that I have found are:
Irish: Joyous
Celtic: Queen
Greek: Goddess of song
Latin: Purple flower
So WDYT? Please share reasons for why you like it or why it's not your style!
Thanks!

I loooove Maeva. It's a new love of mine. It's so pretty and spunky. I think it's beautiful. I like it more then Maeve.

I think I may have mentioned Maeva once or twice around here. I love it! You are right about it being familiar yet unusual. It also sounds like it's ultra popular cousin Ava which helps people be more comfortable with it than other unusual names. LOVE IT! LOVE IT! I think it's a great choice.
I personally prefer just Maeve to Maeva....much the same way as I prefer Gabrielle to Gabriella but it is pretty. Just a little too frilly for my taste.
