I'm not a fan of the name, it's NMS... but I'd pink Jonte over the one with the y.

To me Jonte says jean-tay (like the french Jean Paul.. not Jean like a pair of jeans)
and Jonty says john-tee.. I can't see them being the same name,

i find it very unappealing visually, nor am i very fond of what i assume is the pronunciation. I think Jonte is a better spelling over Jonty

Not a fan of either, but Jonty is better than Jonte. It's a nickname for Jonathan, and I think Jonathan Samuel Leslie nicknamed Jonty (or Jonte) is nice.

Is the apostrophe supposed to be in Jonte' or is that a typo?

Same here. Jonte' = John-Tay and Jonty would be pronounced like the word jaunty.
