I think it's absolutely gorgeous. I don't associate it with that show at all and I don't see it as dated because it's been used since long before then, and it wasn't a popular name in the 90s. Kids being born now aren't going to have that association anyway.
I think it could be a more interesting alternative to Claire/Clare/Clara.

I named my daughter Clarissa, so you can tell that I really like it. I have never seen the show that people talk about. To me the name sounds like 19th century England. I think it's very pretty and I'm glad we gave her that name.

I think it's pretty but it reminds me of the show. I prefer other -issa names.
