Girls help me Im about ready to scream, Im 15 weeks pregnant tomorrow & would love to have some sort of an idea of what names we want for this baby, with my son we didnt decide until the day before his birth & that was a rushed choice although we love his name I dont want that again.
For boy names we fine, our top choice is Jericho.
A name we both loved with my sons pregnancy but his mother told us we WERENT allowed it now we arent talking to her & our love of the name is back to its all time high. Our second choice is Colten.
As for girls though, I want to cry. I love Athena but my bloke ruled it out saying it made him think of some woman jumping out a plane onto spikey hilltops! Where in the world that came from I have no clue!
I also love Kendra yet he ruled that out saying it reminds him of a bloke doing something stupid along the same lines as jumping out a plane.
I really need some suggestions for girls names.
Id like it to fit along the style of Jericho, Colten & my sons name Logan.
Thanks 1000 times over
At least you guys are only struggling with one gender's name... and not both. Right?!
I say just keep making a girl name list. Have him make one, and you make one... then go through them together. If there is a name that one of you absolutely hate, then it should be crossed off. I also suggest taking a "baby name" break for a few weeks. I know from experience in trying to name DD#2 that it gets overwhelming and sometimes you just need to sit back and take a break from it all for a little bit. In a few weeks, pick those lists up again, and re-evaluate them.
If you guys love Jericho, go for it. Just don't tell anyone until after he's born. I had a friend who went through all sorts of issues with her mom ruling out names that my friend and her husband liked. It took them two kids to finally just ignore her mom.
I like the name Athena, it was one of my sister's top picks. In case you have the same style, here are her other favorites.
Cassandra (her first daughter)
Whitney (her second daughter)
Caroline (this baby's name if it's a girl)
