Grrr, DF is driving me mental - alot of people of the May DDC board have found out the genders so I guess the name game is playing on me more than ever now.

Im suggesting names to DF & he turns 99% of them down but aint coming up with any himself.
The only one he'll suggest is Shalimar (Shal-i-mar) from the TV show Mutant X. Which we liked during my sons pregnancy.

Im not sure though, I like the name but Im worried its a little out there & if its a girl she may get bullied.

Our boy choice is Jericho so I guess Shalimar & Jericho are both a little on the different, side. Though were 100% set on Jericho though.

Do you think Shalimar sounds okay with the name Logan?
Is it a little to extreme? & Likely to be bullied ?

Shalimar and Logan do not sound like a sibset at all. It's very mismatched.

Shalimar is too out there IMO...esp with trendy Logan. Jericho I like though...for a boy of course.

Logan is a "normal" name and Shalimar just seems way out there to me. Way out there is okay, but a strong name like Logan and then an extreme name does throw the sibset way off. I would definitely worry about teasing too Sorry he's being so uncooperative

I have seen Kaida prn'd Kie-duh. I saw it on an adorable little girl and I love this name!!! Until you just mentioned it though I completely forgot about it! They called her Kia (kie) for short!

I also really LOVE Kendra and I think that Kendra and Logan are a perfect sibset! Not of fan of Shalimar...it seems really masculine to me and I dont think it goes well with your DS....the others are ok but not my favorites....

Just curious how do you prn Kamea?

Good Luck!!

We had a girl named Shalimar on my Cheerleading team in high school and she was a Bia if you know what I mean ,sorry I have a bad association with it. Although I do have to say she was never teased and she was very pretty, her sister also had a really common name and nobody ever brought up the fact that they were so different.

Thanks for the comments all.
I guess I can see what your saying about how extreme it is compared to the name Logan.
Were have to keep on hunting I guess, its stil a love of ours though, weve liked it since Logans pregnancy.

DF dont want to drop it but Im a little worried after the comments here what everyone else will think of it being paired with Logan in real life.

ryannjakesmommy - what was the sisters name by any chance (if you stil remember), you said she had a normal name & no one said anything so Im just wondering what the normal name was, if there was no teasing over the name Shalimar & nothing said over the sibset then thats always a plus.

Kaida actualy sounds okay, Im a little half & half on the name, I think people would prn. it Ka-da like my DF did.

Sadly DF veto'd Kendra, as much as I love it he just wont budge! Its really upset me Ive loved the name since I was little but he utterly hates it.

We were prn. Kamea as Ka-mia but thats prob wrong. DF veto'd that one as well as normal!

While I'm not a huge fan of the name, I don't believe sibsets have to be matchy, mathcy. They're individual children and should be named as such! They are going to be siblings that go by Logan and Shalimar for only a small portion of their life. Kids grow up, get married and will be referred to as Logan and ______ for a larger portion of time. I'd be more hung up on whether I really liked the name, teasing potential, etc...than how it will sound with his brother.

Thats too bad that your DH wont even consider Kendra! Its such an cute name and perfect with Logan! haha Tell him that your JM ladies say he has to use it! haha j/k.....MEN UGH! lol

I do really like Kaida and think it goes well with Logan too, but it has to be a name you love, and one everyone else does!

Kamea is cute...but I dont like it as well....

Here are some suggestions of others just for fun:
MaKendra
Shyloh
Lailani
Kamira
Kalindra
Meera
