my DD's name?

Laylah

I thought it was pretty easy, but today someone pronounced it Lilah.

Just curious if that may happen a lot.

Lay-lah. Maybe she had an accent? Like a southern accent - I can see how someone might make it sound like Lie-luh if they had a southern accent.

Nope no southern accent.....but when I looked on a baby names website, it has it pronounced both ways. I never thought it could be. But from all of the responses, I don't think she'll have to worry about mispronunciation very often.

Thanks girls!

Lay-luh. How you have it spelled makes that easy enough.

Now, there are other similiar L names that I'm not so sure on how to pronounce. Lila, Lilah, Lealia, Leila, Laila. Lilia.....

Like Lilah, is it LIE-LUH or LEE-LUH? I'd vote LIE-LUH, but I'm not 100% sure.
