My DH and I are not TTC yet but we have finally picked a name for a girl when the time comes. DH loves World of Warcraft. I actually just started playing with him a month ago. We enjoy our time together on it. Well, way back when, he was trying to get me to play the game with him. He made me a character. I got to name it. I wanted it spelled Aislynn, but we had to spell it Aeslynn (pronounced like the a in ate, slynn). So that was a year ago and I finally now play the game with him. He has a female character named Mirae, that is a higher level and he joins me on quests with her. So Mirae goes around kicking creatures' butts for me. So DH and I were talking about the game today and I said we should name our future daughter Aeslynn, to memorialize our time together. He started saying "well you liked that name all along. how bout one of the names of my characters? deathtweaker, aphtaelo, taozu?" He has all of these outlandish names that he had generated for him. So then I mention Mirae (pronounced Mer-ay). I start to think...hmm that's not bad. SO I say to DH "How about Aeslynn Mirae?" He laughed. He loves it. After 4 pg and m/c, we finally have agreed on a girl's name. It is unique. Aislynn is a variation of Aisling, which is an Irish name meaning dream or vision. So spelling it Aeslynn is not too outlandish. Mirae is closest to Mira, which is an Indian name meaning sea or ocean OR Bulgarian name meaning peace.
