If youve already told people the babys name would you change it any ways if you suddenly started to dislike it?

Were set on the first name but Im starting to reconsider the middle names (Annelise Delaney), problem is weve already told people her middle names & both are in honour of people who I want to continue honouring. At the same time theres someone else Id like to honour - my Mum.

Do you think 3 middle names would be to long / be unfair as Logan only has 2? Or should I forget about honouring my mum & stick to the people weve chose?

I think that if the people you are honouring are alive and you already told them.. well it might be kinda mean to change your mind if you told them that THAT will be the name.
Of course this is still your child and you can name them whatever you want, but I would be slightly hurt if someone said they were and then didn't.

3 names might be too long might not be. I personally don't like 3 names but some really do. It just depends on how it runs together kinda thing.

I agree that it depends on whether the honorees are alive or not and if you have told THEM the name. Even then you could still change your mind. Mothers trump all other relatives for honoring space IMO

I would not use 3 middle names. Too many names take away the rhythm of a name in most cases, and sometimes ends up sounding more like a roster than a name.

if the three middle names were like, faith, hope, and joy, it might work. Not the theme part, but the length part. Kendra Anneliese Delaney Somethingelse would be REALLY long. Though I don't think Logan will care when he's older. Can you combine your mom's name with one of the other peoples' names or do it that way?

I love Kendra Anneliese Delaney but part of me stil wants to honour my mum.

Delaney is actualy a combo of two people (both alive) we'd like to honour.
Anneliese is my nans name, who although has passed means alot to my dad to be put in there as we could find a name we liked to honour him.

We were going to use Eloise or Beverley at the start to honour my mum but I worry it would be to long with Anneliese Delaney.

I think it would be too long as well, but only your opinion counts

I changed my son's name after telling everyone what it was going to be, and even getting his hospital bag engraved with his name! After I saw him for the first time, I just felt like Bryson Lane was a better fit for him than Brody Michael.

I have to agree with the people right before me. If you don't like it-change it. Even if you do like but just feel like it isn't right for your child, change it. It's your baby, and other people will deal. Good luck!

We changed DS's middle name completely about a month before he was born. He was supposed to be Greyson Ward, b/c there is a tradition in DH's family that the first born son has the first and middle initials GW and he didn't like William. Greyson Ward was even on my baby shower invitations. Thank goodness I didn't get anything personalized. We decided to change it to Greyson Michael, which is my father's first name. It fits him so much better and I'm glad we changed it. I never did like Ward.
