I wasn't going to find out, but i caved at the end of the u/s on Friday and it's another boy

We were feeling really good about the girl names we had, but now they are back on the "maybe someday" list.

DH and i cannot find a boy name we love. We've talked about Sutton, Noah, Liam, Samuel...but nothing feel "right" like Cohen did.

Have any suggestions? TIA!

I know exactly how your feeling but my problem is the other way around...I cant seem to find any girl names that i like, the only girl name i like is my babys! lol but anyway...i think Liam sounds great with Cohen. I wouldnt go with Noah or Samule because it isnt as unique as your sons name is..so i deff. say go with Liam!

What was your girl's name? What was it you liked about Cohen in the first place? Tell us and maybe we can help.

DH and i have been talking more and more about Abram again... Abe for a NN.

The two girl names we had narrowed down to were giselle and giana.

In a name, I'm looking for a strong meaning. As much as I like the sound of Sutton, it means from the south farm and i'm just not in to that. We like unique names, out of the top 100, but not "trendy". I think trendy means different things to different people, and Cohen can definitely be considered trendy... even though i don't consider it to be. I would prefer a name has 5 letters and two syllables, and for whatever reason I tend to like Hebrew names even though we aren't Jewish.

Isn't that what always happens?! You have a name picked out and then something changes... it always so happens my change is that my hubby ends up not liking it. Here's a list of boys names that are different, but still cute! It won't let me post links but it's at babyhold dot com

I love, love, LOVE Abram! It is such a handsome and under-used name. I also love the nn Abe. I put this on my list a few years back when I had a very handsome classmate named Abram/Abe. Noah and Abram go perfectly together! Good luck!

Adore Sutton (it's on our list). Hmmm...

Cohen and
Adler
Silas
Layton/Leighton
Declan

Going purely on sound/style. I don't look at origin/meaning of names! I still like it with Liam even though Liam is a lot more popular then Cohen.

My hang up with Abram is our last name. It's Hager------- with a lot A sound.

Thank you all again so much for everything DH is really sold on Abram. I've got my doc appt today and i am going to beg him to check the sex because i didn't see a penis on Friday and I need to be sure...especially with all the name difficulties we've had.

Abram is very nice with Cohen. They are Israeli names but not too common or too crazy. they are really perfect together. Its fine with the last name, like a ball bouncing it just flows.

We like some Z names but with our last name starting with Z were not sure lol I think Abram Hagar is like waves and goes fine

Abram sounds cute with Cohen and fine with your LN.

I like Cohen, another Hebrew name I like is Jude. Abram Jude or Jude Abram sounds cute and there's Judah, nn Jude.
